I’ve been reading consumer reviews on the Magic Bullet and I’ve noticed that one thing they don’t cover is it’s ability to crush ice. I have a knockoff "Magic Blender" that does ok at crushing ice but I’d really like something that does it well. I have to break up the ice a bit before I put it in my blender.

The other thing I do a lot in the kitchen and hate doing is grating/shredding cheese. The Bullet claims to grate hard cheeses like Parmesan but makes no mention of soft cheeses like cheddar. I wouldn’t really expect a blender to do soft cheeses because they tend to just smush.

So, how does the Magic Bullet really do at crushing ice? Is there an appliances that does it better? And is there a mechanical appliance that will shred soft cheeses like cheddar?

In the US, I loved bomb pops (still do!). When I lived overseas, I always got a Spaghetti eis from the Italian ice cream man. He would put ice cream in a spaghetti maker and it would make strings of ice cream. He would top it with strawberry sauce for the tomato sauce and some coconut for the parmesan. Voila – Spaghetti Ice cream
