Ok here is the deal, me and my ex girlfriend moved out last summer, I had too pay the damage deposit, and she paid 1/2 of the pet deposit (0 out of 0) We had signed a one year lease which expires this july. She had moved out about 3months ago, left me stranded too pay everything and is now harassing me for her half of the pet deposit back and threatning to take me too court in 2weeks if I do not pay it. What my question is, is she allowed too take me to court right now, or will they say she has too wait until the lease is up before she can take legal action? We had made a verbal agreement that it was alright if i paid when the lease is up but her dad doesnt like me too much and is asking for it right now, what should i do?
