KK I am a 21 year old male, just got into basketball seriously in order to lose weight and have some fun. I will be joining a league with some friends and we are not the greatest of players, and I’ll admit I suck. I need to get some basketball basics and fundamentals down, I need advice to up my game and prevent injuries at the same time. I know I am pretty late with basketball training at my age. But I wanna make a impact and show people that I can make magic happen.
So my physical fitness, I am around 250 ibs, 6’2" when I jump my highness I am like 3 inches from touching the basketball rim. haha I need to improve alot. I will be playing post mainly, so Center or Power Forward Positions in this league. I want to become better and I am serious about it, I have 2 months to become decent at least So I wn’t let the team down. I need like specific training, like running times and workouts and vertical jump increasing, as well as tenacity and first step training.
How do I play post and becoming a better rebounder as well, thanks for al your tips and advices.
