and what… prey tell…. does this have to do with MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE?????
small claims court or judge judy
see you on Judge Judy
small claims court
Unless you have some sort of contract from him, you have to hope that a judge in small claims court rules in your favor. Good luck!
If you have proof that he owes you the money, you can go to small claims court. Don’t know if it’s worth your time, tho, for such a small amount.
small claims court
You can sue him in Small Claims, but the chances are the judge will throw it out as you were living together as a couple.
You can either take him to small claims court or cut your losses.
good luck on that! Ask for it first, and if he won’t give it to you threaten him with small claims court, and tell him that the court fees will be higher than what he will have to pay you back – on top of what he owes. I would take something collateral if possible, too. Have somebody with you!!!!!
File a small claims court case. Make sure you have documentation to prove debt!
You can give him a time limit to return all that money. But if it has already been too long, then I suggest you take this matter into court (with enough evidence to make him guilty).
My cousins once had this person who rented their house and refused to pay the bills. They decided to go to court, but by then, that person got scared and paid the bills. So, I guess if you both end up in court, you have a high chance of getting your money back.
chalk it up to the game and be smarter next time.
if your getting ready to toss him – don’t give him more money -
let him figure out how he’s going to pay for the stuff – its his problem and not yours – GIVE HIM NOTHING!!!!! then you won’t have to worry about getting it back
if he loses the truck – well too bad for him
if he can’t pay his other bills – well too bad for him
once you give him that money – you can pretty much kiss it goodbye unless you get in writing from him that he will pay you back – but then you will have to go to small claims – so screw him – GIVE HIM NOTHING and toss him out
Legally, in most state if you have a signed promisary note you can go to small claims court. No note…it’s "he said", "she said". you are out of luck.
